PROGRAM AND SERVICES OVERVIEW


The programs and services overview found in this section correspond to the number indicated by each program or service it represent. (*) Denotes a national administrated program or service.

1)Empowerment Book Outlets
(*)

Each HomeBiz Center
Business Centers will have a selection of small business empowerment books it promotes. These empowerment book outlets allow home-based business owners and other who are thinking of starting a home-managed business to get helpful information on small business topics.

The Small Business Empowerment Books are for readers who are thinking about starting a business but lack the information and experience necessary to make the right decision. Empowerment books review potential business ventures and allow the reader to get in-depth knowledge about the fields they are interested in before they invest a lot of time and money. Some empowerment books define the pre-steps necessary to take before starting a business. Only books that have been approved by the NAHBB’s national clearinghouse will be sold. Books on topics from how to start a business to international trade will be sold.

 

2) Video and Teleconferencing Service
In today's global marketplace a business needs to be connected to more than one office. Sometimes visual contact may be necessary for demonstration and training. The videoconference room will have a visual display on the wall, which can be used to link conference facilities worldwide. The videoconference rooms can also be used to highlight websites, this makes a great presentation for Internet related websites.

 

3) Home Based Business Expos
The Business Expo is a mini-trade show that allows members to learn how to sell, display and market their products and services to the general public. HomeBiz Center management teams can give helpful hints to network member exhibiting at local expos. These expos are good to improve their business images, set realistic pricing and improve their displays. This is an excellent event for start-up businesses that have never sold their products or services before, because business expos can help them.

 

4) Community Database Management
Each center compiles local databases of home-based businesses in its community. They can use these lists to mail to members and other who are potential clients. It is also used as a follow-up on contacts made by the HomeBiz Centers and to promote the center at special events. HomeBiz Centers   can also request local lists when they want to conduct special events such as seminars and workshops.

 

5) Independent Agency Services
Our Independent Agency package is designed for domestic and foreign companies that have more than five representatives working under the same trade name. Agents and reps attached to the center can get a group rate for monthly services. They are offered a special monthly package that includes mailing address services, conference room rentals and telephone answering services. There are also special meeting and training room privileges available, as well.

 

6) National Convention - (*)

The NAHBB can also host annual conventions to give members training and honor outstanding home based businesses and entrepreneurs with achievement awards. The national convention is an annual event that consists of workshops, exhibits, and an award banquet. Attendees include members, guest lecturers, teachers and other business associates. Each center will have a special program at the convention dedicated to its members. Business center management designates their members for awards granted during the Award Banquets. Business centers can promote the convention year round, selling admissions and exhibits space one year in advance. When foreign business centers grow, conventions will be held both nationally and internationally.

 

7) Industry ConnectBiz Program - (*)

The NAHBB's Industry ConnectBiz Program allows small businesses to earn working and growth capital for their new or existing home-based business ventures. This program allows industry leaders to create income-generating opportunities that can be used by small business to earn supplemental and residual income. These opportunities were designed to have minimum impact on an entrepreneur's primary business. Unlike other multi-level or pyramid schemes these opportunities require minimum involvement. No mandatory meetings, sales quotas, requirement goals or large inventory purchasing is required.

This program enables home-based businesses to participate in high-tech and other fast-growing industries. It allows leading multinational companies to form business market sharing networks with smaller, home based businesses. Industry leaders are able to create income-generating opportunities that can be used by small businesses to earn supplemental and residual income. This program is a great opportunity for business owners who need working and/or growth capital.

 

8) IntraNet-TV Production Studio

The HomeBiz Global Center franchise can include an IntraNet-TV Broadcast Station. However, it is as an optional service, a franchisee can add to their franchise package. A Broadcast station is the Internet television support facility for the IntraNet Television Network channels of and. Each station has a small-set studio with a professional production crew attached to it. Small businesses and others can use the crew to produce their own video production. The studio can also be rented by the hour to those who want to produce their own digital and videotapes.

The crew and station is also used by the network to cover local and regional events and to tape commercial and infomercials ads. The combination of business and advertisement services will allow small and home based businesses to use the center to enhance their advertisement and marketing efforts worldwide. The new mass media of Internet Television, will allow each center to become the lead content provider in their assigned area. An IntraNet-TV Broadcast station will originate talk shows; video tapped programs and will make commercials and infomercial ads for local and regional audiences.

The makes it possible for small and home based businesses to claim niche market television as a media of their own.

 

9) Business Models and Franchises

Business models are the performance version of a concept/idea, after the business and market plans have been implemented and field-tested. Therefore, it is necessary to have a third party verified business model or franchise before equity funding is sort or granted. Therefore, a certified business model is a necessary business structure; only if you are seeking equity funding where the business enterprise is the only asset secure the financing. Unlike, debt financing where other assets are used to secure the loans.

In order for entrepreneurs with existing or start-up businesses to attract venture capital funding, they will need a certified business models or franchise. Certified business models are the preferred business structure of new millennium venture capitalists. Existing business owners who want to expand beyond their local markets also uses them.

10) Network Marketing Groups
The Home Based Business - Infinity Marketing Group is made up of independent agents and representatives who are authorized to sell their products and services directly to consumers. The NAHBB recognizes network marketing as a business trade group and have a business trade organization dedicate exclusively to individually whose businesses is part of multi-level marketing organizations. 

11) Home Based Business Day
Home based business days are sponsored by HomeBiz Centers
for individuals who have existing businesses or would like to start one. They include more than twelve workshops. Guest lecturers and other practical consultants teach these workshops with experience in the fields they teach.

Topics include information on how to start a business from home through international trade. Home Based Business Days can be co-sponsored by other small business institutions such as community colleges and small-business development centers and are a good outlet for book promotion and sales.

 

12) Specialized Seminars
These seminars cover a single topic. The most popular is "How to start a home based business." The seminars are usually co-sponsored with consultants and others with businesses that relate to the topics they teach. Business Opportunity Sessions are taught under this special classification. Specialized training can also be taught within this session on topics such as computers. These seminars are scheduled based on the interest of our members and associates. The NAHBB keeps the cost of these seminars down in exchange for commitment from attendees to promote the NAHBB through computer links, promotional inserts, etc.

 

13) Co-Marketing Media Partners - (*)
The National Association of Home Based Businesses is forming a new advertisement and marketing partnership with print and electronic media. Co-Marketing Media Partners publish newspapers, magazines and/or newsletters. Media partners are granted listings on our Internet HomeSite System in exchange for a listing in their print publications. They may have local, national or international publications and are used to extend the market reach of our clients to print media. The NAHBB recognizes media partners as an important part of both our national and international media outlets for clients with expanding marketing needs. They also refer advertisers to our Business Opportunity Bulletin, Direct Market Mailers, Newsletter Classifieds and market ads for our Internet State Guides. Media partners can also use our electronic marketing service to expand the reach of their classified ad sections.

 

14) E-Mail Newsletters & Classifieds
They provide local, regional and national information on home based business issues. Media partners including writers update them and publishers of home based business publications. There is a classified section at the bottom of each newsletter that is available for use by the general public. This classified section does not require a membership in the NAHBB. However, other ads are subject to rejection without explanation.

 

15) Business Opportunity Bulletin
The Business Opportunity Bulletin is an electronic publication that contains classified ads. It accepts ads from member businesses, associates and media partners. The Business Opportunity Bulletin is our electronic classified publication.

Each bulletin has private classified pages inside to highlight business and income opportunities.

17) Growth Capital Funds
Supplemental income is considered by the NAHBB to be growth capital funds for home managed businesses because the money is earned from an outside source. Home-based business owners can earn residual and override income from supplemental income opportunities; however, they must be compatible with their primary business and earned revenue must meet the need of the growing business. Unlike debts and equity financing, growth capital funds do not have to be paid back and can be used to help the primary business grow.

 

18) New Internet Site Construction
Businesses that want their own address on the Internet can apply for a private domain name. The Information Superhighway has web page design specialists who can construct new Internet websites. They can use the latest digital technology and visual links can be constructed to increase the traffic to the new sites we build. Home based businesses can connect them to one or more of the 200 business trade groups that we currently provide service to.

 

19) Joint Marketing Services
Members of this network are composed of diversified business groups with different products and services offered. Authorized group members offer one-of-a-kind products and services. Each business member of the group provides a different product or service; however, they share the same customer profile. These members share marketing costs: advertising, promotions, co-op mailings and co-sponsored special events including seminars and workshops.

 

20) Circle Marketing Program
Circle Marketing is a new concept in niche marketing that allows a participating company to maximize contact to a target group. A circle marketing strategy allows businesses from different industries to share the same clients. This repetitive method of marketing allows a company to increase the number of contacts it makes to the same niche market group. This new way of reaching a niche market is closed to other companies outside the circle. Circle members are allowed to combine their mailings to reach new and old customers jointly.

 

21) Business Marketing Circle
A Business Marketing Circle is part of a high-quality lead source and referral service. This circle is made up of companies that offer one-of-a-kind products and/or services from industries that service home based businesses. Selected merchants must offer a discount or a purchase incentive to member subscribers. This is an excellent opportunity for a marketplace business located outside the home participating in both the Internet and group marketing. Leads and referrals are managed from a central location on the Internet and are accessible from 50 states. The LeadSource and Referral Center is accessible to members and associates 24 hours a day.

 

22) Internet Links
The NAHBB currently has connecting Internet links with such organizations as the Small Business Administration, Inc. Magazine, and Success Magazine. Promotional links are waiting to be connected and will exceed a combined hit count of more than 2 million each month. Because of the nature of the NAHBB, there are countless businesses desiring a relationship that will be mutually beneficial.

24) Distributorship and Franchise Development Program - (*)
Home Based Businesses with proven success records can turn their business into distributorships or franchises. The NAHBB seeks home-based business opportunities that give the individual purchaser a real chance at success. The NAHBB makes this service available through its national office and promotes it through business center outlets.

 

25) Certified International Traders Training Program - (*)
This training program allows ordinary people with no experience in international trade to become exporters and importers. Our Certified International Traders program is taught by correspondence and is designed especially for individuals who want to become involved in international trade. It takes approximately twelve weeks to complete our home-training program. Our Certified International Traders (CITs) graduate into a worldwide network that can assist them in marketing their products or services. Products that are turned into successful distributorships can be marketed through our business centers.

 

26) National Register of Home Based Businesses
There are many types of businesses that work from home and the homework industry is estimated more than 60 million people. How do you distinguish your business from others who work from home? There are cottage industry workers who do piece work for manufacturers; telecommuters, who work from home but are tied to a main office by computer; direct sales agents and reps; consultants; and craftsperson’s, to name a few. If you are an entrepreneur and run a small business from home, you can get your own private HBIC code guide number and separate your business from others.

 

27) Home Based Business IntroPack Mailer - (*)
The Home Based Business IntroPack Mailer is a multi-inserted mailer that is mailed to home based business owners. The IntroPack mailer is a low-cost mailer that makes it possible for home-based businesses to use direct mail to expand their businesses both locally and nationally. The Home Based Business IntroPack Mailer is part of the NAHBB's joint marketing program, which allows members with products and services to share the expenses of advertisements and promotions. It allows them to reach a broader market, which they would not be able to reach alone.

The Home Based Business IntroPack Mailer is a multi-inserted mailer that includes promotional inserts; discount coupons and other promotional advertisements. These mailers are sent to special lists compiled by the NAHBB. Since the NAHBB doesn't sell its mailing lists, individuals and businesses can reach members and other affiliates through this mailer. There are two types of mailers: a general mailer and a business opportunity mailer. The IntroPack mailer will also be sent to special clients such as professional consultants.

Residential Mailers - are mailed to households in a general geographical area that is identified by zip code. These mailers can be targeted at professional groups by age, gender and income. Independent distributors can also obtain this mailer. The AdverMailer Advertiser® is a special multi-level mailer that has its own distributorship opportunities and will also be turned into a full services franchise.

 

28) Option/Plus Program - (*)
The Option/Plus Program was designed by the National Association of Home Based Businesses to identify local and national companies provide that high-quality products and services to home based businesses. It is a comprehensive program that includes both savings and income opportunities. Established home managed businesses are given an opportunity to secure an Option/Plus Discount Card, which can be used at participating businesses to make purchases at reduced prices.

The Option/Plus Discount Card is distributed to member and non-member home based business owners. This card will allow home-based businesses to receive savings on purchases made at participating companies. Enrolled companies are placed on specially printed and electronic lists that are made available to Option/Plus Discount Card holders. Option/Plus income opportunities are an excellent way to add residual and override income to an existing home based business. They can provide owners with extra income that can help stabilize a new business or add additional financial resources to an existing business.

 

29) Option/Plus Discount Savings Club
The Option/Plus Discount Savings Club bands home based businesses together to increase their collective buying and selling powers. There are 60 million people working from home in the United States and of that group about a third are considered to be home based businesses. The home-based business market is one of the fastest-growing niche markets in the United States. In year 2000, more than 27 of American households will work from home, according to the Bloomberg News Report, a nightly business television show.

The Option/Plus Discount Savings Program will reach a large portion of that market. The Option/Plus Program was designed by the National Association of Home Based Businesses to identify local and national companies that provide high-quality products and services to home based businesses. It is a comprehensive program that provides discounts savings and supplemental income opportunities. The Option/Plus Program uses the buying power of club members to obtain savings and discounts from local and national companies. Selected companies are invited to make their products and services available to Option/Plus Discount Savings Club members. Companies that join the Preferred Merchant Program can offer their products and services to NAHBB members, Internet subscribers and discount cardholders.

 

30) Preferred Merchant Services
The NAHBB selects businesses that offer high-quality products and services to the home-based business Industry. Companies that enroll in the program offer members and subscribers special discounts and savings. Some companies’ offer discounts on existing products or services while others create new programs. Enrolled companies can make their products or services available to home based business members, Internet subscribers and discount cardholders.

Before a company can participate in the Preferred Merchant Program, the NAHBB’s Clearinghouse Division must evaluate its products or services. The Clearinghouse is made up of experienced home-based business owners and industry professionals. Acceptable products or services can be marketed through the Option/Plus Program and other NAHBB affiliate organizations.

 

31) Export/Import Agency
Innovative export/import management companies with agencies attached for independent traders who are allowed to become a part of our international Marketing network. Our export/import management companies are part of a private trading network that consists of national and international agents/distributors. Candidates who attend the Exporters Incubator are trained to become innovative traders. Those who successfully complete their training are designated as Certified International Traders (CITs). Andecker traders handle products and services from around the world and get exclusive agreements from manufacturers with exportable products. Only independent traders with a CIT designation are allowed to represent Andecker's portfolio products. Andecker selects agents/distributors for their ability and background to assure high-quality representation of portfolio products. Any products that are added to the Andecker's portfolio must pass a comprehensive target market research and feasibility analysis.

 

32) LeadSource and Referral Services
Our Computer Internet Access System provides members and subscribers with a quick and reliable source of business, trade, management, business opportunities, direct and network marketing information. Qualified businesses can get a listing under one of more than 200 business trade group classifications and can also design and manage their own web pages. To make sure that opportunities created by the Information Superhighway remain in the hands of home-based entrepreneurs the NAHBB has authorized four different types of Home Business Computer Workstations. These workstations are the chief providers to the USA HOME BASED BUSINESS INFORMATION SUPERHIGHWAY. They specialize in data entry, consulting, sales, endorsement, training, business opportunity, direct and network marketing. Computer Workstations are privately owned and serve as agent/providers for programs and services offered on the Information Superhighway.

 

33) U.S.A. Home Based Business Information Superhighway

The Information Superhighway has been designed to help small businesses in the 21st Century make the shift to a global economy. The NAHBB HomeSite currently receives 400,000+ visitors each month, with the number quickly rising as the NAHBB expands. The Superhighway embodies three of the fastest-growing segments of the new business service industry home based businesses, on-line computer services, and direct mail. When complete it will contain:

Members and subscribers can currently obtain listings or construct their own World Wide Web sites within the NAHBB Internet structure. These sites will be connected to other Web sites both internally and externally, allowing participants to jointly market products and services on the Superhighway.

Members and subscribers can visit their Web sites as often as they like and register their home based business in one of the 200+ business trade groups. They can transfer files, send and receive E-mail, and establish their own HBIC code guide numbers. Members can also use the HomeSite Access System to send and receive information around the world, or participate in discussions with practitioners of their trade.

A National Internet Access Site is established in each country that promotes free enterprise. These sites are set up under Continental Master Sites, and are activated based on the home-based business population's activity, needs and interest in each particular country. Home Business Computer Workstation Operators trained in selected countries will activate NAHBB sites. Workstation will specialize in the following areas: business opportunities, direct marketing, database management, small business training, development, sales, and marketing.

The Worldwide Internet Access System will allow small-business members to conduct global business and trade with each other via the Internet, dividing the world into eight Continental Master Sites. When complete, these sites will connect more than 150 countries. Each country will have its national site that will reflect the legal and business culture of that particular region.

 

34) NAHBB Memberships

The NAHBB is a fifteen year old organization that provides support and development services to home managed businesses. It provides these services through business developers, consultants, business and support associates. and computer workstations.  It is considered a leader in the home-based business industry. The NAHBB is quoted and sourced monthly in national newspapers, magazines, and radio and television talk shows. It is also listed as a reference source in more than 300 books and other annually publications. The NAHBB frequently sponsors and co-sponsors educational training seminars with community colleges and other small-business organizations.

35) Home Based Business Trainer & Consultants
A Home Based Business Trainer is an individual who offers training classes through workshops, seminars, and specialized classes to entrepreneurs who own a home based business or want to start one. They teach subjects that range from "How to Start a Home-Based Business" to "How to Trade Internationally. A Home Based Business Consultant provides consulting services to small businesses. They consult in such fields as marketing, management, bookkeeping, direct and network marketing, etc. The NAHBB refers members and associates to certified consultants. The NAHBB co-sponsors special events with certified consultants.

The NAHBB uses its certified trainers and consultants to assist home based business members and associates. The NAHBB also co-sponsors special events with them by referring marketplace businesses that want to participate in small-business events. Approved small-business events that are hosted by our Certified Trainers and Consultants are promoted on the U.S.A. Home Based Business Information Superhighway.

 

36) Home Office Extension Service
The NAHBB identifies executive suites that can provide support and interactive assistance services to home managed businesses. To qualify a facility must meet appearance standards and provide high-quality support services with a variable of fixed and flexible rate packages.

Following are the minimum support services required by the Home Office Extension Service program:

As more and more shared-office facilities enter the marketplace, NAHBB designated support centers will have the edge in attracting home based businesses as service clients. Support and interactive assistance centers are authorized under a different program. This is a national-level administrated service that allow' NAHBB's business centers to expand through others.

 

37) Meeting and Conference Room Services
The NAHBB's Business Center is a multipurpose facility that includes a conference room, meeting rooms, mail, address services, and telephone answering services. The home based business conference rooms, meeting, and training spaces can be rented by the hour or day. These are not executive office suites and cannot be rented by the week or month. Some retail spaces are occupied by support associates that provide products or service' needed by home based businesses.

Cluster Development Program
The NAHBB has authorized a cluster and model development program to open new territories for HomeBiz Global Center franchises. To accelerate the growth of our franchises, the NAHBB is opening model centers in the heart of territories set-aside for cluster development. Cluster centers are established in large metropolitan areas and their surrounding communities. There are two types of Cluster Center Development packages, one is private and the other is co-sponsored by participating companies. Cluster territories can be opened in areas that can support a minimum of six centers.

Private Cluster Development Centers
investment partners manage the privately owned cluster centers. Private owners of cluster centers take all the responsibility for opening and expanding centers in their area. They can manage their own centers and have the option to sell them under the regular terms and conditions of the franchise agreement.

CO-Sponsored Development Centers
The co-sponsored development package includes participating companies who lead their industry in marketing to home based businesses. Home based business owners and potential franchisees in targeted markets are educated on the uses of HomeBiz Global Center franchises, through advertisement, specialty marketing and public relations

 

38) Copy/Print Services
HomeBiz Global Centers provide copying and printing services. The Copy/Print Center specializes in copying: manuals, documents, flyers, stationery, business cards and brochures. They offer both self-services and private assistance including color copying. The centers perform small jobs on site but out-source larger ones to a national printing group. Our copy/print centers are equipped with the latest copying and printing equipment.

40) Internet Business Support Facility

The Association of Home Based Businesses, (NAHBB) is certifies executive suite facilities as Internet Business Support Centers. These centers will be home to Internet Companies that enrolled in our and Home Office Extension Services. Each enrolled business will be placed in an executive suite as a service client for a minimum period of six months. Many of these service clients will stay and become permanent tenants once they get their ventures funded. Enrolled centers provide Internet Business owners with office support such as; telephone answering, secretarial services, mailing address services, office and conference room rental, copy/fax and many more services. Support centers increase the effectiveness of Internet Business Models. They may also lease a office in the facility if the business requires it. Our Dot-Com Business Incubator program is a business concept development and evaluation service for Internet Companies seeking venture capital funding. Only Internet Business models and franchises are allows to enroll. Each approved Incubator program will have a team of consultants who can provide support and development services to businesses from start-ups to international trade. Wall street has signaled a switch from the business-to-consumer, (BTC) model to a business-to-business, (BTB) model. This shift will create a niche for Dot-Com Business Incubators that can provide development and support services to Dot-Com Companies and the venture capitalists that fund them. Developing a new type of business model is essential to the growth of Internet start-ups. A Dot-Com Business Model will increase the growth rate of Internet companies and will improve the chances for them to attract venture capital funding and other partners necessary for their growth.
